: Plenty of silly felonies being handing out like traffic tickets, especially on the Federal level. 

: You would probably best to pursue an expungement if your state allows.  Check with the specifics in your states criminal code under post-conviction remidies.
: Generally you have to wait about 3 years after conviction to be elligable.
